I know Mother’s Day is coming up and stores have to keep shoving that fact down our throats in the vain hope we’ll spend money on something they’ve marked up for the occasion, but my mother’s been dead for 2 years. I know stores don’t know or care, but aren’t we living in an age of targeted marketing now?
Wouldn’t ads for new tombstones or grave site decorations be more applicable? Flowers, of course, are high on the spam ad list, but so is jewelry and electronics. She’s dead, how much email or Farmville does she need?
